Istvan Hagyo is a Policy Corner Writer for PVNN. He has a Bachelors degree in International Relations from Eotvos Lorand University in Budapest. He is a Hungarian born in Romania but is passionate about U.S. Foreign Policy, and specifically American-Asian-Pacific policy. He has worked as an intern at the Institute for Foreign Affairs and Trade in Hungary and was a member of College for Advanced Studies of Diplomacy in Practice. One of his specific policy interest is the rise of China and its impact on American influence in Asia. He believes in order for the United States to remain the world-leader, they must reevaluate its core interests domestically in order to lead on the world scale.
