Lance Powers is a Policy Corner writer with PVNN. He completed his BA in History from the University of North Texas in 2014 and is working on his Master’s degree in Public Administration from The University of Texas at Arlington focusing on nonprofit and local government management. From an early age, Lance was fascinated with the world of history, politics, and government. After working as a high school teacher in Texas, he decided to go back to school and change career paths. Lance believes the fundamental issues plaguing the United States are wealth inequality, political corruption, and the national debt. Through his research and policy pieces, he hopes to shed light on finding plausible solutions.
