Taofik Oladipo, Jr. is a Raleigh, North Carolina native of Nigerian heritage. He obtained his B.S. degree in Political Science from East Carolina University and is currently a Master of Public Policy student at Pepperdine University. He has an immense passion for politics and social justice, particularly, how they affect those in minority communities. As a former volunteer for President Obama’s 2012 campaign, he understands the importance of community and grassroots engagement. He has been an intern at the Democratic National Committee, a fellow for current Virginia Governor, Terry McAuliffe, a field organizer for former U.S. Senator, Kay Hagan (NC), and also the Lead Organizer with Students for Education Reform in Los Angeles, California. As someone who is pursuing a career in public service, Taofik knows that a person should be selfless in how he helps others and that your life work should be to leave the world a better place than you found it.
