Things to know for this week:  South Carolina flooding, The trans-Pacific Partnership reached an agreement on October 5, 2015.  Kunduz hospital in Afghanistan was bombed accidentally by a US Military air strike. Russia launches it’s airstrike against rebel forces in Syria to back Bashar al-Assad.

1.    South Carolina flooding: 

Since Saturday at least 11 dams have failed in South Carolina, the state’s Emergency Management Division said.  One failure, sent floodwater raging downstream and forced evacuations near Columbia.  17 people died, 800 people were housed in shelters there were 175 reported water rescues, so far.

2.    The trans-Pacific Partnership finally reached an agreement on October 5 2015: 

Implementing the TPP has been one of the Obama 2015 goals.  On October 5, 2015 Stephen Harper, Canadian prime minister expected, The full text of the agreement to be released in the next few days, with signatures on the finalized text…”

3.    Kunduz hospital in Afghanistan was bombed on Saturday:

Obama issued a rare apology President Obama apologized for the MSF Staff and patients who were killed and injured when a United States Military air strike mistakenly struck an MSF hospital in Kunduz Afghanistan.  Obama promised a full investigation into the episode, which took the lives of nearly two dozen doctors and patients.

4.    Russia launches it’s airstrike against rebel forces in Syria to back Bashar al-Assad: 

Moscow, which supports the Syrian President Bashar al-Assad, has been accused of using the strikes to target anti-Assad groups including the U.S.
